The first emotion that strikes Borgomuratori is the light,
then you sit under a wisteria and look at the sea below, you shake the sand off your sandals (in Diano Marina there is the only sandy beach in western Liguria), you drink a juice of oranges picked directly from your tree and you go to the garden to get green beans for dinner. In fact, this is a farmhouse guarded by 200-year-old olive trees and proud of its garden: as in the historic Ligurian gardens, the space is made up of olive groves, citrus groves and vegetable gardens, to which the French landscape architect Olivier has added mastic hedges, small pools, terraces in the green or on the panorama. This is the ambience that surrounds the old pink house with a long history, from a fortress to defend itself against pirates, to a convent, to a nineteenth-century villa. In perfect harmony with the history of these walls, in the old mill with medieval vaults, with the millstone, the jars, the collection of ancient tools, you can relax to read or study the maps for trips to the ancient villages, with the guide of the owner, passionate about art. Inside, a conservative restoration has formed three apartments with breathtaking sea views, fine furniture, decorated vaults and refined private corners, but the most coveted is the Casetta del Melograno, a pink favor with two rooms instead of the barn surrounded by figs. , jasmine, rose garden, lavender and the chirping of cicadas.
